November 8, 2011, Whitby, Ont. - Berry Vrbanovic, president of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and Councillor for the City of Kitchener, Ont., and the Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, today announced a Green Municipal FundTM (GMF) grant for the Town of Whitby. The town put the $203,500 in funding toward the development of a sustainable community plan for Port Whitby.
